Mediobanca CEO Conference now in its 10th year
55 listed italian companies in attendance, along with more than 170 international investors
The Italian CEO Conference, the annual event organized by Mediobanca, has now reached its tenth year. The Conference, which this year is being staged on Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 June 2024, brings together the CEOs of the largest listed Italian companies, 55 in all, plus another 170 Italian and international investors from the leading investment boutiques.
Around a thousand meetings are scheduled between companies and investors, mixed with plenary sessions to analyse indepth the main financial and industrial trends and the most important scenario topics.
The debate will be focused on the role of Europe in the global economy and the choices that need to be made to support its competitiveness in the international panorama, driven by five strategic sectors, namely energy, defence, technology, telecommunications infrastructure and finance.
These are the main issues that will also be discussed by Alberto Nagel, CEO of Mediobanca, in his opening speech.
Also speaking will be Enrico Letta, former Italian President of the Council of Ministers, and Nathalie Tocci, Director of the Institute of International Affairs.
These talks will be followed by the panels on the financial sector, with the participation of Andrea Orcel, CEO of Unicredit (webstreaming here, Tuesday 18th at 2.00-2.45 p.m.) and Giulio Terzariol, CEO of Insurance at Assicurazioni Generali.
On the second day of the conference, the focus will shift to the energy and infrastructure companies, with talks by Stefano Besseghini, Chairman of ARERA, Roberto Cingolani, CEO of Leonardo, Claudio Descalzi, CEO of ENI, and Renato Mazzoncini, CEO of A2A. The roundtable that will bring the proceedings to a conclusion will discuss the future of the European telecommunications and digital infrastructure groups, with the following speakers: Pietro Labriola, CEO of Telecom Italia, Marco Patuano, CEO of Cellnex, and Diego Galli, General Manager of INWIT.
