Massimiliano Carnevali started his career in 1999 working for Borsa Italiana, where he took on increasing roles of responsibility in the area of advice and supervision for listed and soon-to-be listed companies on M&A deals and market disclosures, working closely with Consob.

In 2008 Massimiliano Carnevali joined the Mediobanca Group, to work for the Legal and Compliance unit. In 2008 he was appointed as Head of AML and since 2011 has been Group Chief Compliance Officer, which also includes responsibility for AML and Data Protection activities.
