Education:
Elena Pagnoni graduated in Law from the LUISS Guido Carli University in Rome, and took a Master’s degree from the Harvard Law School in Cambridge, MA (United States).
Career:
Elena Pagnoni is a lawyer with thirty years’ experience in financial markets law, banking law and company law. She assists financial institutions, listed companies, and investment funds, both Italian and international, providing them with advice on regulations and sanctions, and more recently on corporate governance and ESG matters.
Previously she has been management officer for Consob (from 1990 to 1996); has worked with leading international law firms (Senior Associate at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer from 1999 to 2009 and Counsel at Hogan Lovells from 2009 to 2015); and was member of the Banking and Financial Arbitrator appointed by the Bank of Italy from 2016 to 2019.
She has been Partner of law firm Legália in Rome since 2015.
She has been Standing Auditor and member of the supervisory body of Mediobanca since 2020.
